Testing Ashlea Across Brand Touchpoints

- Logo Design: Ashlea worked beautifully as a logotype. It held up well in both horizontal and stacked layouts. I tested it in black and then in a muted gold, and both felt elegant and modern. It didn’t feel like a trend—it felt timeless. - Packaging Design: On a mockup of a coffee bag, Ashlea brought a sense of craft and care. The font was legible at a medium size, though I wouldn’t recommend it for very small product labels or fine print. - Business Cards: Paired with a clean sans serif for subtext, Ashlea added a personal, boutique feel. It looked professional but not corporate. - Website Headers: In the hero section of a homepage mockup, Ashlea looked stunning in a large size. It gave the brand a human, creative edge. However, I wouldn’t use it for body text—it’s definitely a display font. - Social Media Graphics: On Instagram templates, Ashlea performed well in short phrases and headlines. It made quotes and captions feel more curated and expressive.

Pairing Ashlea with Other Fonts

- Serif Fonts: Surprisingly, Ashlea worked well with a classic serif like Playfair Display. The contrast between the structured serif and Ashlea’s flowing script created a layered, editorial feel. - Sans Serif Fonts: For a more modern look, I paired it with Lato and Montserrat. This combo worked well for brands wanting a balance of personality and professionalism. - Other Script Fonts: I wouldn’t recommend using another script font alongside Ashlea—it’s expressive enough on its own. But a simpler, more restrained script could work in a supporting role.
